BobSummers Landscaping

I am always eager to learn and welcome any opportunity to grow. Serving my clients with the best services require that I stay up to date with the latest trends, technology and skills. In 2020, I enrolled for the Web Design program at McMaster University and I am scheduled to finish in Winter 2024.

One of my favourite projects so far was to design a complete website for a fictional entrepreneur and his landscaping business called BobSummers Landscaping. We were asked to design a simple logo and a website with a minimum of 4 pages. Those pages had to include all your regular pages while implementing web accessibility standards and compliance.

Big Red Bus

For another of my school projects, we were asked to team up with other classmates to either create or renew a real-life website. I had proposed to my team that we work on Big Red Bus, a subsidiary website of CityKidz.

Big Red Bus is the online platform where CityKidz provides additional programming to its participants. Since I am the graphic designer at CityKidz, we all agreed that I would be the our team’s leader, the leader designer and the liaise between our team and CityKidz.

As the team leader I scheduled our team’s meetings, delegated work to my other teammates, provided design feedback and checked that all coding was properly written and working.

Our team proceeded with creating client proposal of the steps we would take to renew their website by creating personas with goal and scenarios, suggesting a cleaner architecture model, the site’s requirements and timelines.

We then proceeded by creating and presenting sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to our client for approval based on the brand guidelines they provided. These guidelines were designed by me with the assistance from our writer at CityKidz. From then we proceeded to create a website that was both fun, engaging and informative.
